III. Waste Reduction:
1) Compost Bins
Build, location (access to H20!) maintaining? (grade level, classroom, group of volunteers including students) Worm Bins in classrooms? Mr. Myers-yes, others?
2) Recycling Bins & Signage
Set-up (free bins/posters) around school & rooms
3) Capri Sun Recycling Project
Lunch volunteers (to gather), empty!, ship to Teracycle for money to school
IV. Educational Gardening:
1) Winter Vegetable Gardens
What classrooms? Garden Docents? Seeds for indoor containers (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower) Plant in October. Plant seeds directly in gardens as well (carrots, radishes, beets, lettuce, onions, peas, chard, kale, garlic) with students!
2) Winter Garden Work Days (Preparing gardens for winter planting-weed, harvest,add soil, fertilizer, etc.) Thursday October 14th (9-12 p.m.) & October 15th (9-12 p.m.)
3) Volunteer Handbook: Review
V. Materials, Shed Project for Green Team:

Green Docents 2010-2011
Please help Caleb’s Green Team!
As a Green Docent you will teach or help teacher with lessons/activities on environmental education (recycling, composting, gardening). As well as help maintain classroom garden plot(s). All lessons will be ready with activity and materials before you begin!!
